Stainless Steel

Stainless Steel 304 Grade versatility, durability, and corrosion resistance are qualities that set apart stainless steel from other metal plates. Stainless steel is an alloy that is composed primarily of low carbon steel and chromium. Other elements such as molybdenum, nickel, and titanium are also used to improve its overall quality. While chromium is what makes stainless steel appear to be “stainless”, the other additional elements help make it more malleable, durable, and reworkable. This type of steel is also found used in kitchen utensils, pots and pans, and even jewelry. Grade 304 is the most common of the three grades. It offers good corrosion resistance while maintaining formability and weldability. Available finishes are #2B (Bright, Cold Rolled), #3 (Brushed, 120 Grit) , and #4 (Brushed, 150 Grit) #8 (Mirror) .
